Act locally

Rice to feed people locally

The Rice Raiser is partnering locally with the Abbotsford Food Bank and the Canadian Association of Food Banks, BC Branch. The Food Bank has identified rice as being one of the best food items we can supply them with and they welcome all we can give them. Rice is a very important food item. It is versatile, nutritious and is the most consumed food item in the world.

Act globally

Internationally, the Rice Raiser partners with Hungry for Life International, Mennonite Central Committee, Food For the Hungry Canada, First Steps, CAUSE Canada, and Hope International Developing Agency to feed hungry people throughout the world.100% of your donation will go to the organization whose project you wish to support and you will receive a tax receipt for every donation over $15.00 from the organization whose project you support.

Get involved

Bags of rice and donations can be dropped off at the participating schools or your local food bank. Tell your food bank that the donation is in response to the Rice Raiser Campaign. Please call for more information: 604-308-1391.

The Rice Raiser is a worthwhile endeavor for the entire community as it teaches our next generation of leaders the lessons of compassion, love, and generosity in a world that is increasingly threatening to all.
