Through the Rice Raiser Campaign individuals and groups collect food to feed people locally and raise funds for global initiatives.

With a commitment to raising awareness about and responding to global hunger, Hunger Response International has developed the Rice Raiser. The Rice Raiser is a youth mobilized community event designed to feed the hungry both in our own community and in developing countries at the same time.
Canadian youth are invited to help address hunger globally by collecting rice to feed people locally, in their own communities and funds to feed people globally.

This opportunity for giving will make a difference to our world, both on the local level and on the global level.
Every year millions of people die from hunger related diseases. The terrible truth is, that now, as a result of the global food crisis and the current economic crisis, over one billion people suffer hunger when we have the ability to produce sufficient food to feed every person alive on the planet.
