Randy Sawatsky

Randy was raised in a military family and subsequently has lived in many provinces throughout Canada as well as four years in France during his formative childhood years. His family settled in Chilliwack, BC where Randy finished his last years of high school, started his career and began his family. Randy has worked for Canada Post Corporation for 31 years in several departments. He is currently a Supervisor and works at the Abbotsford Postal Delivery Centre. Randy is married to Lorri Sawatsky and together they have six children. Randy has a long history of community involvement including coaching children’s hockey and baseball teams, a youth leader in his church for five years, leadership of a divorce recovery support group for seven years and, he has assisted in a children’s grief recovery program for two years.

During a Mission’s trip to Cambodia with his wife, Lorri, and being exposed to a degree of poverty and hunger unlike he’d ever experience before, Randy committed himself to do what he could to be more involved in helping raise awareness and provide relief to those suffering from hunger throughout the world. Hence, investing his time and energy to develop and promote Hunger Response International and the Rice Raiser Campaign is what Randy considers a privilege to do.

Randy Sawatsky is the husband of Lorri Sawatsky and serves on the Board of Directors as an Administrative Advisor.
